writing a proposal for creation of a new position

Does anyone have experience with writing job proposals? I'm toying with the idea of asking my boss if we could create a contract position (no way would she go for permanent) for the duties I have in mind. They are currently being done on a rotating basis with higher positioned (and higher paid) people. I feel this is a waste of resources. The duties are low scale: mailing out documents, collecting and sorting incoming mail, and scanning.

There are a number of online sites with all the information you need to write the job description. I believe one we have used is HR.BLR.com. Simply Google "writing job descriptions" and you'll get the list. Then it would be easy to present to your manager. Carole Gatten on 8/22/2013 10:13:17 AM
