Does anyone know how to create macros that automate forms in Word 2003? Specifically, I'm trying to create a Word form where the curser will move from one field to the next on the Tab stroke. Does anyone know how to do this?

You want to create a protected form with fields. How you do this varies with each version of Word but the basic concept remains the same with each...
Using the "?" help button on the toolbar, look up "add fields" and follow your intuition from there. In Word 2007, you will be working in the Developer tab using the legacy tools icon. Please note that you can shade the fields while positioning them by using the form field shaded icon but be sure to turn it off when you secure the form and start using it. If the fields are shaded, they'll print shaded, as well.
To protect the form so that nothing can be edited except the field entries (which you tab from one to the next), again under the Developer tab, use protect document. Your editing restrictions are filling in fields. (Side note: Word will ask you to password protect the secured document. The password is not mandatory; leave the field blank unless you want to start keeping password lists!)
Good luck!

When creating a form in Word where you want to restrict the user to only be able to tab from one area to the next to complete info, do the following:
- Create your form
- Position your cursor at the first area to be completed.
- Click on the ?Text Form Field? icon on your forms toolbar (it looks like - ab). Do this for all areas that need to be completed.
- Click on the ?Protect Form? icon on your forms toolbar (it looks like a lock).
- Save the form

This is called a text form field. Go to http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word-help/create-forms-that-users-complete-or-print-in-word-HA010030746.aspx for instructions on how to create a form with a text form field. Hope that helps.

Go to the Office button (top left) and select Word Options on the bottom. Check the box for "Show Developer tab in the Ribbon".
On the Developer tab, in the Controls group, click the Legacy Tools button (the fourth one in the second row). The check box form field button is the second item in the menu or anyother option you would like and then you can protect your document to restrict formatting and editing and select the filling in forms item.
