The type of format that you use for your reports depends on your industry and the amount of information expected by whomever receives these reports. We use a custom format here. It is a simple table in Microsoft Word. It is composed of three columns and a row for each topic. The column headings are "Topic", "Past 30 days",and "Next 30 days". We use bullet points for each topic to share whatever information is pertinent. Any supporting graphs and charts can be attached. It is a clean and succinct report and, by providing information about the past and future 30 day expectations for each project, updating the information each month is easy. Hope this helps. Basically that is a hard question to answer because nearly everyone has gone to MS Office. I still prefer WordPerfect. The best I can tell you is if you start swapping back and forth from one program to the next, your work will be a nightmare. You are better off staying right where you are and use the resources in MS Office. You can create your own style of reporting templates in Word and it will make the reoccurring reports easier. In your spare time, pick up the Step-by-Step Word book and it will help you create these templates. I hope things work out well. Lloyd Becker on 8/25/2010 10:58:38 AM
Microsoft Works has some pretty neat templates?usually this software is part of a package when the computer is purchased. It can be purchased separately, as well. Anonymous on 8/25/2010 9:12:10 AM
We use Microsoft Office Publisher to do professional printed reports. Masterg on 8/25/2010 8:48:44 AM
