Professional Administrative Handbooks

Hello, Are Administrative Assistants still using professional handbooks? If so, please let me know what latest version I should purchase. Thanks to all!

I couldn't live without the Gregg Reference Manual. You might also check if your organization has a Style Manual that should be implementetd in standardizing correspondence. Anonymous on 8/24/2010 5:31:46 PM
I am also an "old timer" admin and have used a Gregg Reference Manual for years. I purchased it at a seminar I attended and find it very helpful and easy to use. Dee Anonymous on 8/24/2010 2:37:14 PM
I don't know if others use one, but this 'old timer' has the Gregg Reference Manual on the desk for quick reference. I purchased one years and years ago - when I first started out and used it a lot in the age before computers. When I went back to school to brush up on my skills, I purchased a newer version and have used it ever since. It's been interesting because when there is an 'argument' about how to do something correctly - from using certain words to how to address a letter properly - that book is almost like 'the law'! I would be very interested in knowing this as well!! Elizabeth Rhoades on 8/24/2010 12:38:59 PM
