Headphones for teleconferences

I work from home, so most of my meetings and conferences are done by cell phone. I need to get a pair of headphones to get the cell phone away from my head (and to save my neck). I have a hard time hearing some of my regular meetings, so I need a good pair of headphones that are really clear and conform to my ears completely. Short of high-end models, like those by Bose, are there any really good, affordable headphones out there that you'd recommend?

In my last job, we had constant noise and many distractions. We would have an hour to get the meeting minutes out and sent via email with the suggested new calendar date and time. We preferred to use the little Sony tape recorders, but alot of us decided to use our own headsets. Plantronics are very expensive. I bought mine via a magazine for about $50. They cover the ears with a very soft spongy material and they have on the wire a canceling out noise, volume control. The best thing is that they fold up to almost the size of my fist! The name of the headphones is Sentry Active Noise Cancellation model is HO500. I love them. Rebecca Conrado on 9/30/2009 12:56:20 PM
Plantronics is the best for this type of use. Great performance and a good value overall. I use mine daily for about 2 years now. The sound quality is exceptionally good. The range isn't bad either - I can leave my desk and move around the entire office and not miss any calls! The only downside is that my coworkers don't realize if I'm on my phone and start talking to me even though I'm otherwise engaged! Kim Fritz on 9/30/2009 12:39:30 PM
I would suggest Plantronics. Several of us in the office use their headset system and really like it Jamie on 9/30/2009 12:26:23 PM
