Definitely door prizes. You could have a little company trivia game. Ask questions and whoever gets them right wins a little giveaway. Prizes could be anything. Company logo item, gift card, etc. Maybe award whoever asks the most questions, first person to arrive, unexpected reasons. Anonymous on 6/10/2009 3:18:09 PM
We had all of our employees bring in their baby pictures also. We had so much fun trying to match everyone with their baby picture. We also gave away a prize to the employee who matched all the employees to the correct baby picture. We still talk about it and we did this about 2 years ago. This is a terrific ice breaker. Last year was my first year and we had each of the vendors, health insurance, credit union, health reimbursement, etc. come in a set up a table. Most of them also had small give aways and a basket for a raffle drawing. We also provided lunch (I think it was pizza) so it was pretty inexpensive. The staff enjoyed it and it was all wrapped in about 90 minutes which included the lunch. We did not make it mandatory though I think most everyone was there. We have a staff of 21. You could have a theme meeting (At The Movies) bring in popcorn and candy that you would get at the movies. Have a Ice Breaker game to give out the candy as prizes. Bryandis Moreland on 6/10/2009 11:20:04 AM
At our open enrollment we are given a raffle ticket when we come in for the session. At the conclusion of the meeting, one ticket is drawn for a small prize ($5 gift cert or something similar). Also, several times during the session the person speaking will ask a question and whoever answers it correctly will receive a small prize. Usually we have a representative from our benefits company speaking and one of our employees is the one drawing the names and handing out the prizes. Kathie A on 6/10/2009 11:14:48 AM
This might not be a fun thing to do but rather informative - my company has vendors come in and we have somewhat of a health fair. They bring give-away items, do free body fat testing, check blood pressure and bring new materials regarding the benefit plan coverages. We also have each person that attended the health fair submit their name in a bucket for a prize drawing. This encourages people to attend as well and adds a little fun in to the mix. Good luck. Depending on how much time you have, you could collect baby photos (or very young child photos) and bulletin board them and the one who guesses the most correct names of employees wins a small prize. The photos go back to the owners, of course. Carol Green on 6/10/2009 11:06:38 AM
