Adobe Acrobat (Pro)

Does anyone know how to save partial pdf's? That is, of a 39 page pdf file, I want to save only the last 14 pages. How can this be accomplished?

If you have Acrobat Pro, just view thumbnails, select the 14 pages you want, right click, extract pages, save as a new PDF. Without pro, however, there is no good way to do this without a major sacrifice on quality. (I worked with someone who would print screen the page and save it into a Word doc. What you get is a copy of a copy that may or may not be the correct size.) Lorraine Williams on 8/20/2013 8:15:50 PM
I recently talked to my systems person and he told me that the only way to manipulate pages in a PDF file is to use Adobe Acrobat Software (purchased separately). This cannot be done through Adobe Reader. Please contact your systems person to find out if they could do it for you. Anonymous on 4/18/2013 1:09:15 PM
Glad to hear you figured it out. However, for everyone else, you need the Adobe Acrobat Standard program (not the reader). Open the document. On the toolbar, click on DOCUMENT. Choose delete pages and enter the page numbers. Then do a SAVE AS so you have the original document in tact. OR you can extract the pages you want and do a save as. Go to the Thumbnail view, highlight those pages not needed and delete. Then save those pages needed using a different document name. Anonymous on 4/18/2013 10:28:51 AM
Two ways to do it: 1. Select Print; Depending on your printer options, change printer to Adobe PDF or choose Print to File and select the file type; enter the page range you need and click on Okay or Print. If it works correctly you should be directed to pick the file folder you want it saved to and name the file. 2. If you have the full version (not just the Adobe Reader) then use the extract feature. Good luck! Dianne Anonymous on 4/18/2013 10:14:45 AM
On our copier we can choose the option for Compact PDF which will allow you to save that many copies. You may need to have your IT Department up the usage on your computer so that you can receive a large scanned copy. Kathy Hess on 4/18/2013 9:40:31 AM
Thanks everyone, but I've finally found out how to do it. Rose on 4/17/2013 1:24:44 PM
