I would like to create a Procedure Manual for my position as Administrative Assistant. Does anyone have any suggestions for a starting point.

Always wise to have a procedure manual. I have always found that visuals are very helpful. As your manual progresses it might be a good idea to include screen print pages of what the procedure is; especially if it involves programs others may not be familiar with. This gives others a guideline to ensure they are on the right page and processing the task correctly.
Good luck!

I would start by just writing down everything you do and how you do it. MS Word will come in very handy doing this. I see a table with 2-3 columns. 1st column is task, then process, then maybe resources. You will be amazed at how much you actually do that is just in your head. One other thing I would do is create a master file locator in MS Excel. I did this and let my boss and a couple other people in the office know how to access it. It list columns for who I did the project for, what the file name is, what program created it, a description of what is in the file, and then a hyperlink directly to the file. All they have to do it click the link and it takes them directly to the file. No hunting involved. I sort it by who it's for so they can find their files quickly. P.S.- to add the hyperlink hit Ctrl K in the cell where you want the link. A dialogue box opens up and you click on the path and hit finish and it's magically put in. Good luck!
